My Soul to Take

The fallout happened in December 2013, a war that eventually destroyed the world and the civilizations that inhabited it, but not everyone become extinct during the New Revolution War. Now almost a century has past and it is the year 2105 and only a small portion of the entire world has been built back up. It is being called the New Nations, a Steampunk like era. Things have changed in the once technically driven 21st century. It?s now the 22nd century and everything has changed from the music to your soul walking outside your body taking the form of an animal, an animal that can talk, but you are the only one that can understand your soul/animal. Which makes you more venerable, once your soul dies, you no longer are free, and once your soul dies you become a blank slate, a slave to the New Nations government.
